VitaSite™ was created by the Alliance Software development team, which has been building content management systems (CMS) since 1998. Alliance Software is a custom software development company that is based in Brentwood, Tennessee.
The VitaSite™ code base represents the third generation of Alliance Software's multi-site CMS solutions. This code base, originally called FilterPages™, was built in response to the needs of large multi-site networks like Rivals.com and Faithsite.com. FilterPages™ allowed large networks of sites to share and syndicate content across the network.
VitaSite™ was created in response to requests from customers who needed cost-effective content management tools, but who weren't necessarily interested in the multi-site network functionality built for Rivals. VitaSite™ was written from the ground up to include a common core functionality that all sites share, in an architecture that allows custom functionality to be added on to meet the specific needs of any site. VitaSite™ empowers site owners to manage their own sites efficiently and effectively.
Alliance Software, LLC, was founded in 1996 by Greg Gough. Todd Austin joined the company as president in 2000. Please visit the Alliance Software site for more information about the development team.
